Not good! Seller sent the wrong color on purpose and was also defected.
Seller didn’t not take care of this matter.
Amazon had to step in and helped me.
Poor quality and not happy at all.

I bought this to use as a clothes hamper. It was cute, but I was surprised at how flimsy it was. We don’t have kids in the house so I figured it would be fine. I was disappointed that the cover is literally just a flat piece that lays on top of the basket; not a fitted or attached cover. It was cute and fit in the space well so I kept it. We do not put wet items in there, but somehow the thin particle board bottom got moldy/mildewy within a few weeks. Also, because the bottom is only attached by being wedged between the flimsy walls and resting on a few tiny brackets, the bottom falls out of it when you try to transport it when it’s filled with closures. It was a waste of money and has already been replaced.

Looks incredible in person. Nice size for a hamper basket. It’s as tall as our clothes cabinet. Stands sturdy and the color is beautiful. We got this cause our dog kept stealing our clothes out of our old hamper. He can’t access this one.

It looks nice and had that bamboo smell reminiscent of the jungles of Malaysia. It is NOT a solid hamper; the hamper body rolls out, but it is stronger than fabric. It is not obvious that it is so malleable. Once assembled, it looks beautiful.

The hamper is delivered on time in a long, flat box (Picture 5) that is lightweight and easy to remove.

The lid is not attached to the body of the hamper (Picture 2). It comes with a fabric liner that easily slips inside.

The pieces are easy to figure out how they go (Picture 4). The top and bottom of the hamper are made of sturdy cardboard.

The trick, and the reason I’m not giving it 5 stars, is the final step of assembly. It is very difficult to place the wire square loop inside the opening of the bamboo hamper body. I had to pry it using a flat wrench (Picture 3). There isn’t a lot of give in the bamboo to accommodate the wire loop. I almost punctured the hamper with the wrench. Once it was assembled, I loved it, but I almost gave up. I was thinking of returning the hamper before I damaged it in the assembly. If possible, a strong person, or a long flat-head screwdriver, is needed to assemble.

I got two of them about a month ago and they do look beautiful. I do not regret my purchase!

The bottom piece isn’t as strong when a lot of clothes are inside

I have a pantry that has a few gardens in there. I needed a larger trash receptacle but I did not want it huge. I also wanted a lid for it. I have to trim the tomatoes and peppers weekly and I prune them a lot. I liked the bamboo look to this, the little lid is perfect, the handles on the sides make it easy to move around and I can keep it in the corner, out of the way. A standard kitchen bag fits a little snugly around the top but works fine. It comes with a liner that if you are using this as a hamper, you can pull that liner out to sort your clothes. I imagine if you over stuffed this thing the bamboo would burst. It seems a tiny bit flimsy but it is working great for me as a trash receptacle.

This is a cute hamper . I use another basket to put towels -blankets into . I use it to store and cover my lighter articles of clothing until I am doing laundry . It is a bit flimsy (sturdy enough though) but I would say I’m still happy with the purchase . It’s cute and covers my laundry like I wanted . I was sick of seeing my all my laundry so messy . I just don’t over pack it and that helps me get to my laundry faster , so less at a time .

Works great. Not super sturdy, but does the job.

This hamper looks nice, and is certainly easy and fast to set up. But unfortunately that’s where the pros already stop. It was definitely not as sturdy as I hoped, and I wouldn’t feel comfortable carrying it around while it was filled. The bottom is made of rather thin MDF board, which is held in place by 4 thin metal plates/hooks (presumably aluminum). I had ordered two of those hampers and returned them after I set the first one up. The lid was also bowed a bit, and had no lip to actually hold it in place, so it just sat on top.

Like I said, great esthetics as long you’re not planning on moving it around or put anything remotely heavy into it.

  10. Amazonreview

This hamper was VERY easy to assemble (I needed no instructions) place the flat MDF bottom inside the body of the hamper and then place the metal ring into the top and pop it into the supports, then place the lid on top. Once all the supports are in place it seemed to withstand my poking and prodding to test it’s strength.

One reviewer said it was not a good hamper because you could not mush clothing down into it using your body weight to make more room for more clothes, well it kind of goes without saying not to fill it to it’s bursting point because it is after all an inexpensive hamper, Go for one that’s in the $50 or $60 range and up if you like to smash your clothing into it that hard. This hamper seems perfectly fine for people who are not too rough, I don’t think it would make a good hamper for young kids but for teens and up it should be great.
