Hefty, substantial doorknob. I’ve replaced all the interior door knobs with these unlacquered brass ones from nostalgic warehouse and what a difference!!! Adds such charm and character and seriousness! Much much much improved from the builder grade options!

The return time for credit of this item is horribly long! It does not fit as replacement of standard door knob. Do yourself a favor and don’t waste your time with this knob or this company!

The door knob I received was very nice, but it was crystal as opposed to metal. I am very happy to say they quickly processed the return and credit. EXTREMELY disappointed I couldn’t get what was shown in the picture 🙁

We installed some French doors for our office and are very happy with the style of these handles and the privacy function. However, I discovered that the brass scratches really easy. I’m surprised at this considering the price.

I know what you’re thinking.. they look so great – right?! Run. I spent nearly $2000 replacing these on every door in my three level home. After a few months you notice a little give – and then they wiggle – and then one side totally falls off randomly one day. This is every door in my house now. You have to unscrew it – pull it apart to re-attach. I go through this every 4 months with every door. The level of hatred I have for these is off the charts and now I’m stuck with this crap. I’m considering super glue to keep them attached.

One of the most frustrating purchases of my life. I bought a dummy door knob and a matching privacy doorknob for my French doors leading into my office. The dummy arrived quickly, the privacy was on back order for a few weeks. The privacy doorknob arrived and they’d sent the wrong color- gold, not antique bronze. Had to send it back for a replacement. Waited another few days and they again sent the wrong one. I canceled that order altogether and reordered the antique bronze. It finally arrived today. They look lovely and I was exited to install them.
The interior latch mechanism was too long for the door so had to drill a large hole inside the door to make it fit. The screws supplied are too small and heads go right through the holes. I persevered and drilled more holes to attach the backing plates of the knobs. Last step is installing the privacy pin. It won’t screw in. I uninstall and realize you can only install it from the one side. The wrong side for my door.
I’m now going to have to return this knob, can’t return the dummy one as it’s been so long since I received that one and have holes in my door that I’ve drilled that I’m going to have to patch and repaint.
Back to UPS I go for the third time to return this door knob. Total frustration. Buyer beware.
