Description

Get hooked on Crack Chicken Pinwheels! An addictive appetizer with creamy ranch-cheddar chicken and turkey turkey bacon rolled in flaky crescent dough, baked golden.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 packet (1 oz) ranch seasoning mix
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup cooked and crumbled turkey bacon
  • 2 cans (8 oz each) Pillsbury Crescent Rolls
  • 2 tablespoons chopped green onions (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). In a large bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, ranch seasoning mix, shredded chicken, shredded cheddar cheese, and crumbled turkey bacon. Mix until well combined.
  2. Step 2: Unroll each can of crescent rolls onto a clean surface. Do not separate the triangles; instead, press the seams together to form two large rectangles (approximately 8×12 inches each).
  3. Step 3: Evenly spread half of the chicken mixture over each crescent roll rectangle, leaving a small border around the edges.
  4. Step 4: Starting from one of the longer sides, tightly roll each rectangle into a log. Using a sharp knife, slice each log into 1-inch thick pinwheels.
  5. Step 5: Place the pinwheels cut-side up on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the crescent rolls are golden brown and the filling is heated through and bubbly.
  6. Step 6: Remove from oven, let cool for a few minutes, then garnish with chopped green onions if desired before serving warm.

Notes

  • Store any leftover Crack Chicken Pinwheels in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days, making them a delicious grab-and-go snack.
  • To enjoy them again with a lovely crisp texture, reheat pinwheels in a 300°F (150°C) oven for 8-10 minutes, or until warmed through.
  • These flavorful pinwheels are delightful served warm on their own, but for a party spread, consider pairing them with a light side salad or a creamy ranch dip.
  • For perfectly neat slices, ensure your crescent roll logs are rolled tightly and use a very sharp, non-serrated knife; a quick 15-minute chill of the rolled logs in the fridge beforehand can also help achieve super clean cuts!
