Description

Transform humble biscuit dough into glorious Easy Baked Churro Bites! Perfectly soft, golden-baked, and lavishly coated in sweet cinnamon sugar.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 can (16.3 oz) refrigerated jumbo biscuit dough
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon fine sea salt
  • Non-stick cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly spray a large baking sheet with non-stick cooking spray or line it with parchment paper.
  2. Step 2: Remove the biscuit dough from the can and separate each biscuit. Using a sharp knife or kitchen scissors, cut each biscuit into 4 to 6 equal bite-sized pieces.
  3. Step 3: Arrange the biscuit pieces in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet, ensuring they are not touching. Bake for 8-12 minutes, or until they are golden brown and cooked through.
  4. Step 4: While the churro bites are baking, prepare the cinnamon sugar coating. In a shallow bowl, whisk together the granulated sugar, ground cinnamon, and fine sea salt until well combined. In a separate shallow bowl, melt the unsalted butter.
  5. Step 5: Once baked, immediately transfer the hot churro bites to the bowl with melted butter, tossing gently to coat them completely. Then, transfer the butter-coated bites to the cinnamon sugar mixture, tossing until each piece is thoroughly coated. Serve warm.

Notes

  • For the best fresh-baked texture, enjoy these churro bites the day they're made; if you have any leftovers, store them in an airtight container at room temperature for up to two days.
  • To bring back some of their crispness, reheat leftover churro bites in a toaster oven or air fryer for a few minutes at 300°F (150°C) until warm.
  • Enhance your dessert experience by serving these warm churro bites alongside a rich chocolate dipping sauce, a scoop of vanilla ice cream, or a drizzle of caramel.
  • Chef's tip: Don't wait to coat them! Immediately tossing the hot churro bites in melted butter and then the cinnamon sugar mixture is crucial for that perfect glistening finish and ensuring every piece is deliciously coated.
