Description

Whip up these irresistible, high-protein Chocolate-Covered Strawberry Yogurt Clusters! Tangy Greek yogurt with fresh strawberries, frozen and coated in rich chocolate.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1.5 cups (approx. 340g) plain Greek yogurt (high-protein)
  • 1 cup (approx. 150g) fresh strawberries, hulled and finely chopped
  • 12 tablespoons maple syrup or honey (optional, adjust to taste)
  • 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla bean paste
  • 1/2 cup (approx. 85g) dark or semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 teaspoon coconut oil (optional, for melting chocolate)
  • Pinch of sea salt (enhances flavor)

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside. In a medium bowl, combine the Greek yogurt, finely chopped strawberries, maple syrup (if using), alcohol-free vanilla extract, and a pinch of sea salt. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly distributed.
  2. Step 2: Drop spoonfuls of the strawberry yogurt mixture onto the prepared baking sheet, forming clusters of desired size (about 1.5-2 inches wide). Leave a small space between each cluster.
  3. Step 3: Place the baking sheet in the freezer for at least 1-2 hours, or until the yogurt clusters are completely firm and frozen solid.
  4. Step 4: Once the yogurt clusters are frozen, melt the chocolate chips. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the chocolate chips and coconut oil (if using). Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring well after each, until the chocolate is smooth and fully melted. Alternatively, use a double boiler.
  5. Step 5: Remove the frozen yogurt clusters from the freezer. Dip each cluster halfway into the melted chocolate, or drizzle the chocolate generously over the clusters using a spoon or a piping bag.
  6. Step 6: Immediately return the chocolate-coated clusters to the freezer for another 15-30 minutes, or until the chocolate coating is completely set and firm. Store the clusters in an airtight container in the freezer for a healthy, high-protein frozen treat.

Notes

  • Keep these delightful clusters in an airtight container in your freezer for up to 2-3 weeks, so you always have a healthy treat ready to grab and enjoy!
  • Since these are a frozen treat, there's no need to reheat them! For the best texture, let them sit out for just 5 minutes before eating to slightly soften the yogurt while keeping the chocolate firm.
  • Perfect as a refreshing post-workout snack, a guilt-free dessert after dinner, or even a fun, cooling bite on a warm afternoon – they're great anytime you crave a sweet, healthy boost!
  • For a touch of gourmet flair, consider sprinkling a tiny pinch of flaky sea salt over the wet chocolate right after dipping, or try a mix of berries in your yogurt for varied flavor.
